eBay UK removes selling fees for private sellers
According to foreign media reports, it is understood that eBay UK has eliminated fees for private sellers in all categories except cars. Private sellers will no longer pay final valuation fees or regulatory operating fees when selling on eBay.
Nevertheless, if sellers use the promoted listing tool to increase product exposure, or conduct cross-border transactions through the international sales function, the relevant promotion fees and international fees still need to be paid. It is reported that since the cancellation of sales fees on eBay Germany last year, C2C transaction volume has returned to positive growth, with GMV increments of hundreds of millions of dollars.
In addition to more sellers starting to sell on eBay, more than 250,000 sellers have started to buy goods, twice as many as buyers who do not sell goods. Since the launch of free fashion sales and AI listing features in April this year, eBay UK has also achieved positive results, with double-digit growth in the number of listings for popular items such as jeans, shirts and dresses.
